Downloading and Installing ArGest Backup Version 2.3

Instructions for downloading and installing ArGest Backup version 2.3.8.

Download the 2.3.6 DMG installer: http://www.tolisgroup.com/downloads/brupe/BRU_PE_Rel_2.3.6.717.dmg

Download the 2.3.8 GUI patch update: http://www.tolisgroup.com/downloads/brupe/BRU_PE_2.3.8.737_GUI-Only.bgz
Install the 2.3.6 DMG installer.

Open Terminal and enter the following commands:

cd /Applications/BRU\ PE/

sudo mv BRU\ PE.app BRU\ PE.app.old

gunzip -c ~/Downloads/BRU_PE_2.3.8.737_GUI-Only.bgz | sudo bru -xvf – -ua

ArGest Back 2.3.8 will be installed once the commands are complete.

NOTE: ArGest Backup version 2.3.8 is not stable on Mac OS Versions newer than 10.8.5 and will randomly crash on 10.11 or newer. If you must run BRU Producer’s Edition on a system newer than 10.8.5, please update your support and license to the 3.x release. You can renew support at secure.tolisgroup.com/renewsupport.
